Your Prosperity Board is a powerful tool because it appeals directly to the right side of your brain, which is the side that responds to feelings and images. Pictures and words that depict your goals will create a strong visual and support you in focusing on what is most important. Materials needed:
Use a stiff paper such as poster board to attach your pictures to. You can use the size and color that will best suit you. I have seen people use a sheet of construction paper (8 x 11) or theme boards from office supply stores that are very large. I often use a poster board from the art supply store like children would use for school projects. Next, cut out pictures and words from magazines, catalogs and newspapers that depict the things you want in your life. Whatever is a visual representation of your goals are is what you want to glue on your board. It is also good to include pictures of yourself and other important people in your life on the board. Next, affix the cutout elements in collage fashion on your board. There is no wrong way to do this, so just have fun with it. If it makes you feel great when you look at your finished Prosperity Board, you have done it the way it needs to be done. Next, place your board where you will see it often. Don’t just put it in a drawer somewhere and forget it. What makes the Prosperity Board so powerful is that it is a visual reminder of what you want in your life. It can’t visually remind you if you can’t see it. This can be a great activity for a group of friends or the family.
